Meet The Band

TIM LAMUN

Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar

  • About Tim

Tim was born into music. Both sides of his family tree boast musical blessings and as the son of a preacher, instruments and worship became a constant influence. By six years old the farm and country kiddo had picked up the guitar, by eight he was playing the piano, at twelve he could slide the trombone and at 14 years old Tim formed his first band. In high school, Tim focused on football and joined the jazz band which was during the off-season. He continued to focus on football in college, but God knew we needed another country music star so after Tim tore his ACL, music came back to the top of his priorities.

Things started to come together after Tim met and married Jett, the love of his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Soon after, he cut a record in Nashville, TN called Walking Distance which was produced by Buddy Hyatt that received enough traction to allow for a touring band. After opening for the legendary John Anderson in Prior, Oklahoma, Tim asked his brother Jeff to join him and the band Lamun Brothers was born.

Enjoying success and ready to hit the road, the Duo loaded their guitars and Stetsons into a big red Silver Eagle bus and toured the country. Able to write their own ticket, the band performed all of the Fairs, Festivals and A-room Honky-Tonks amassing over 200 shows a year for five years. They worked and opened with acts like Ricochet, Gary Allan, Chris Cagle, John Michael Montgomery, 38 Special, Hootie & the Blowfish, and Blake Shelton to name a few. But Tim realized he had married a saint and made the decision to stable the band so he could see his wife, Jett and their children more than a few days a month.

CORY LAMUN

Bass Guitar

  • About Cory

With both his dad and uncle touring on the road as The Lamun Brothers, Cory felt the call of music at an early age. Determined to master an instrument, he learned the acoustic guitar at age ten and then set his sights on drumming. Cory taught himself to play the drums, making him the only drummer in his family. However, once he applied his vocal and instrumental skills to multiple youth groups and worship teams, he noticed there were too many drummers and not enough bass players. So, Cory asked his dad for one quick lesson on the bass, and the problem was solved! Cory became obsessed with bass mastery and led multiple praise and worship teams with his diverse skills.

The all-American high-school quarterback and musical renaissance man graduated from SAGU (Southwestern Assemblies of God University) in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in counseling and helped form In Lamun’s Terms with his father, Tim. Today he has also added the banjo and the ukulele to his repertoire for a total of five mastered musical instruments, but this well-rounded musician enjoys “bass player life” for now. Team play and dedication are Cory’s middle names and he does both with so much energy and personality on stage that you won’t be able to look away.

BEETLE BAILEY

Drums

  • About Beetle

After years of beating on pots and pans, Beetle was given his first drum set in 1987 and placed in the Methodist Church Band due to his immediate ability to play. Pots and pans practice works! In 1988 he began playing in his father’s county band, Muddy Creek, and in 1989 he formed a high school band called Tye Dyed Fish that covered an eclectic range of material. Rumor has it, they killed it at the school talent show.

Beetle’s drumming journey took center stage in 1992 when he joined the heavy metal band Euphoradox, dropped out of college, and went on tour. Since 1995 he has played for bands such as Inertia and Mudflap which led to great gigs, a Jägermeister sponsorship, and eventually a hiatus in 2007 because even drummers need a break.

But breaks are meant to end. So, Beetle returned to the music scene by playing pick-up gigs with cover bands such as Rock Island Redd, Bearded Axe Wolfe, Weekend Edition, and Mudflap reunion shows. In 2020 he joined the best country rockin' blues band on Earth, In Lamun's Terms, and whether it’s a real, live drum kit or a set of pots and pans, Beetle brings the beat every time.

ROBBIE BALUSEK

Vocals & Keyboard

  • About Robbie

Robbie was introduced to music as a toddler when he peeked through the staircase balusters and watched his father compose original songs at the piano. Throughout childhood, he was interested in various bands including the Beatles, KISS, Iron Maiden, and the Eagles. In high school, Robbie took piano lessons and four years of choir and jazz band. The Friday Crew was Robbie’s first high school garage band that showcased his early originals and played classic rock covers.

After college and back in Arlington, TX, Robbie joined another classic rock cover band called Weekend Edition, which played anywhere from dive bars to Texas Live. The band members, setlist and name eventually evolved into a new group that played original material. Conifer toured for two years and some of Robbie’s best work can be found on their lone album, Beg Cheat Lie Steal.

After a hiatus and during everyone’s favorite year to try something new, (2020) Robbie joined In Lamun’s Terms. Having a fondness for Turnpike Troubadours and Gary Allen, he jumped at the chance to play country music with the amalgamation of talent and experience ILT combines. This new direction, genre and sound has even rekindled his writing, and Robbie’s first country song, “Johnny Lang,” will bring down the barn and even make grandma tap her foot.

CHRIS MAGDEN

Lead Guitar

  • About Chris

Chris was born in Sioux City, IA, and immersed himself in music and learning instruments from a young age. After leaving Columbus, MS where he attended East Mississippi Community College, Chris moved to Texas to attend SAGU (Southwestern Assemblies of God University). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and theology in 2017 and then resurrected his high school band name, Cardboard Aviator, to pursue writing and producing music.

Chris is a multi-instrumentalist man-of-mystery who may not say much but is skilled at the electric guitar, bass guitar and drums. He can also be spotted playing guitar for bands such as Obii, Bomethius and Lil Sick. The chill beats of his current musical project, Cardboard Aviator, provide a contrast to the burning electric guitar chords Chris adds to In Lamun’s Terms. Whether he’s shredding a solo moment or adding layers to your old favorites, Chris’ precision and concentration never fail.
